Re-purposed Drawer Plant Stand

My plant stand started with this drawer purchased for $5 at a consignment shop.

This white pedestal was purchased for $7.50 at an antique shop. (And already painted white.)

This old drawer hardware was free.

Then, I attached the drawer to the pedestal using four screws through the bottom of the drawer.  The extra large pull was attached to the drawer front.  I added a square of panning metal to the bottom of the drawer in case of moisture seepage through the flowerpot.  Next I painted it all with Annie Sloan Chalk Paint in Old White.

Then after distressing and waxing with clear wax, I had a new plant stand!

Miniature Pulley Re-Purposed Christmas Tree Ornament

I found the cutest little pulley today at the consignment shop for $2.

I purchased it because I got an inspiration for a re-purposed Christmas tree ornament, and the price was right.

I remembered that I had purchased this spool of music note ribbon at Jo Ann Fabrics last Christmas season but never used it.  I had planned to wrap some wooden thread spools, I think.

Another Up-cycled Mail Organizer With Sheet Metal Accents

Thrift Shop Mail Organizer Makeover
I picked up another wooden mail organizer from the thrift shop this week for $2.  I liked the mail and junk mail cut outs.  I didn't even mind the crack in the bottom cubby.  This organizer is going to be rustic.
